MPH have teamed up with producer / director Drew Cullingham, to see his debut
feature, 'Umbrage', through the final stages of post-production. Shot primarily on
the RED One camera (with integrated 35mm scenes), the film will be coloured
and prettified by MPH, with the view to at least a limited theatrical release.
'Umbrage' is an offbeat, dark fairytale starring Doug ('Pinhead' from the cult 'Hellraiser'
franchise) Bradley as a shady antiques dealer and patriarch of a somewhat
dysfunctional family who move to a remote farmstead.

As if it's not enough that he has to mediate between his heavily pregnant young wife
and his petulant teenage step-daughter, a scared hiker disturbs the dubious harmony
with stories of mutilation and terror in the woods. Somewhere between talk of shadows
coming alive, a strange man hiding in the barn, and the mysterious quiet woman in the
company of the hiker, it becomes clear that it's going to be a long night.
'Umbrage' screened as a 'first look' to revellers at the Film4 Halloween Frightfest all-nighter,
and at the Abertoir Horror Festival.

In the words of one reviewer, 'contains loads of sight- gags and one liners which horror fans
will pick up on and boasts one of the best iconic characters for ages in the form of an Irish
cowboy vampire called Phelan (played by Jonnie Hurn).
